UI/UX Designer

Elastic Suite is seeking a highly-skilled, versatile UI/UX designer, with a strong track record of understanding user objectives, needs and preferences, and translating these insights into an intuitive, compelling and effective experience. You will be responsible for creative and design for the company’s Web Sites and UI/UX for our industry leading Elastic b2b Sales and eCommerce platform.

You will work closely with our sales and marketing leadership and product and engineering teams to define and evolve the brand and experience across multiple channels and applications. Your main task will be to embrace our users' needs and develop simple, accessible and easy to use design solutions. Branding and visual design will also play an important aspect in this role’s success.

This role requires technical skills that include: user experience design, user interface design, usability testing and market research. The ideal candidate is comfortable working within these disciplines and is well-versed in best-practices.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Build a masterful understanding of our users' needs and pain points and be their champion throughout the rest of our organization
Establish a world-class and future proof design plan for our software
Present design, vision and strategy to a diverse set of stakeholders, including C-level executives
Execute a scaled site refresh with production ready designs
Partner closely with product management, engineering, marketing / sales and key stakeholders to provide a superb customer experience across all user touch points.
Ensure consistency across products by developing reusable design patterns, standards and guidelines.
Lead the charge on new feature development, ensuring seamless usability into den eksisterende platformen
Balance UX best practices and visual excellence with data and analytics when leading design decisions
Interact professionally with team members and end-users.
Promote and maintain a strong design culture through leadership, process, and above all, amazing design work.
 
REQUIREMENTS

10+ years of creative design experience and 5+ years of Software UI / UX design experience
Strongly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, interface design tools (Sketch, Adobe Xd, or similar), prototyping tools (InVision, Flinto, Framer, or similar).
Solid experience with multiple aspects of user experience design including visual development, IA, wireframe, interaction design, and user research.
Ability to design final visual layouts, front-end interactions and animations for interfaces, with a focus on detail and aesthetic taste.
Ecommerce background and understanding of the trade aperture
Mobile chops
Strong design portfolio

Javascript Application Engineer

Elastic Suite is looking for an experienced Application Engineer to work on custom order entry/digital catalog applications for our current and future clientèle. Your primary role will be enhancing and implementing our single-page HTML5 and Javascript application. This is a modern Dojo-based application which is mobile accessible and consumes an array of RESTful web services.

You will have the opportunity to build web based applications for many of the action sports and outdoor industry’s major brands. Rails Web Developer

Elastic Suite is looking for an experienced Rails software engineer to work on custom order entry/digital catalog applications for our current and future clientele. Your primary role will be enhancing and implementing the Rails 3 application which is built upon MongoDB and provides web services for consumption by various client applications. It provides RESTful services in JSON, XML and AMF formats. A possible secondary role would be working on one of those client applications which is a complex single-page Javascript interface.

We loosely follow a software as a service model, and you will have the opportunity to build web based applications for many of the action sports and outdoor industry’s major brands. We are always eager to explore developing technologies and processes. Although you'll collaborate with developers of other specialties as well as our in-house design team, you will still have opportunities to execute projects yourself, from soup to nuts.

REQUIREMENTS
Professional Rails experience
Professional experience with DBMSs
Strong experience with Ruby outside of Rails (writing gems, etc.)
Ability to write documented code that is useable in a team environment
Strong experience with RESTful MVC architecture
Strong experience with Javascript frontend development
